| Oriskany, New York - October 2007I | Advancing Fiber Optic Security |
| The Security Industry is now buzzing with the news that FIS (Fiber Instrument Sales) a leading manufacturer and supplier of fiber optic equipment, has entered into a distributorship agreement with the New York City based Homeland Protective Group, Inc. to have their patented FIS Fiber Fence and Strike Zone security systems marketed by HPG. Fiber Fence is a true Fiber Optic security system. Its is capable of detecting intruders of a fence line for up to 10 miles. Multiple units can be linked through a network to give Security Directors the ability to monitor multiple locations at one time, from a single command post. Utilizing a built in ODTR, the Strike Zone software quickly analyzes the alarm and indicates the precise area of intrusion within a few feet. Integrated PTZ cameras can focus in on the area of alarm to show security personnel what is happening on site. Unlike other fence systems, FIS designed Fiber Fence so it does not require and electric to the fence or wall line. The system works solely on the power of fiber optics on the fence to sound the alarm. This helps reduce overall cost and raises the efficiency of the system. Homeland Protective Group's President, Mr. Richard Martinez, states: "We feel this is a great opportunity which will enable us to supply our clients with a true, all fiber optic security solution. We are excited to have the territories of the mid-Atlantic and northeastern states of the U.S." |
Fiber Fence is currently protecting U.S. military bases, electrical substations, reservoirs, construction sites, chemical manufacturing facilities, car dealerships and private corporations. In addition to the Fiber Fence and Strike Zone products, HPG will also be marketing all fiber optic security cameras and the accessories produced by FIS. So, why are serious security companies looking to fiber optic technology for new solutions to their client's needs? It's quite simple really. Fiber optics are harder to hack, have virtually unlimited bandwidth and give a mode of voice, data and video transmission that is free from EMI. Systems Integrators, Network Administrators and Security Professionals are turning to this technology for reduced costs and versatility. The Fiber Fence and Strike Zone Fiber Optic security solution can be used at airports, military installations, reservoirs, utility companies, prisons, corporate campuses, colleges, as well as commercial and residential properties around the world.
